Our apprentices enter into skills competitions to show their stuff, not that they have big egos' though. Our apprentices come from all backgrounds and can be anywhere from the entry level to advanced stages of training. What is neat is watching them ply their skills to build a structure with quality in a short time. Thousands of people come each year, and once seen, just keep on returning. You see stamina, cool thinking, smart problem solving, intensity, efficiency, patience and a lot of sweat. When it's over pride rules, and the camaraderie of the challenge is unsurpassed. Being a good sport is essential. Maybe one day you'll be in the ring showing your best! 2006 Ontario Skills Competition - Gold Winner - Ray Dunlop Ontario Skills Competition The Ontario Skills Competitions (Skills Canada-Ontario) run each spring and include secondary and apprentice level competition. The most advanced winners go on to represent Team Ontario at the National Skills Competition (Skills Canada). National Skills Competition Provincial Teams converge from across the country as national level contenders at Skills Canada. This two day 12 hour competition is the pinnacle of national recognition, and the selection process for the World Skills Competition. World Skills Competition - Canada vs. the World   One Canadian Apprentice selected from the Skills Canada - National Competition proceeds to a location in the world to challenge competitors from over 40 other countries. The competition runs every two years, with the next competition in London, UK 2011. Leipzig, Germany has been awarded the honour to play host in 2013.
